Anyone out there using this drive? I see on the compatibility document that the cheettah version for this drive is supported but don't see the Barracuda model. Why??

You don't see it because we haven't tested it yet. We will, but I can't give you a time frame. Seagates in general have been very reliable with Pro Tools, so I wouldn't anticipate any difficulties.
