My 55 XC90 has just recently started to hesitate when selecting 'D' or 'R' has anyone else experienced this... The car has done 18555 miles and I have had it since new. Any answers to this will greatly appreciated.

hi, when i was thinking about buying an xc90 i read a few road test reports and one of the things reported was exactly that.a split second delay after selecting drive before the car sets off especially if you give it a bit of pedal.i dont think you need to worry about it as the report dident dwell on it. peter.

Took it to Volvo today as it still under warranty, total lack of interest shown, made a token effort of plugging it into a computer, and told me they had done a new download/update. Told to "try that and if that hasn't cured it give us a ring". I am getting fed up of the apathy shown. I get the overwhelming feeling they are trying to fob me off until the warranty runs out. Won't have chance to try it out until tomorrow.....watch this space.

If you are near Solihull at any stage I know an excellent Auto gearbox guy. He generally scans for free and is VERY helpful. Transmission Technology It wouldn't surprise me that dealers can't help, they can't strip nor rebuild boxes so if a software revision can't help (short of changing the box) neither can they.
