Yes a midi dissolve function or even actions to do with , would be very very helpful, personally very often I record from my arranger the midi direct in repear on a single track and then i need to separate the midi channels on tracks to apply vsts and edit more easy . I also noticed that even I take the midi on a stick from the arranger and I try to open it with reaper I don't have the option to separate the midi channels on track and it doesn't read the tempo either like it happen with other midi songs I import so I don't know if this a bug but a midi dissolve would be much appreciated. Thank you.
don't know if it is adressed already: on start and on stop with an 8 track project for example i hear harsh clicks. last stable version 2.53 is smooth on both tasks. thanks
This should be in the 'How to' forum. You can do the same in Reaper, only here it's not a track output you assign to a vsti in a rack, but you use a send on the midi track to hand the data over to a track containing Hypersonic as vsti. You can do this by hand and one by one, but Reaper can do the routing for you as well: Open the FX chain window of the Hypersonic track. In the Options menue is an option called 'Build 16 channels of MIDI routing to this track. Use this and you're presented 16 MIDI-ready tracks that speak individually with Hypersonics MIDI channels. I recommend a visit to the track's I/O window to investigate how the routing is actually done. Save the whole bunch as a template if you like.
Envelope Lanes - the grey title at the top of the pop-up menu (and others) is snazzy :) - could we have "Show Volume on track" and "Show Volume in lane" here? - same goes for Pan, - and an item on the track right-click menu "Show envelopes as lanes" (this would apply only to those lanes marked as visible) Questions a) Could someone explain this new feature? + Recording is now allowed when tracks are record armed but set to "do not record" b) Can someone post the 3 files for the folder_start, _indent and _end images? So we can see the right sizes, transparency borders etc c) In the MIDI Editor, changing the Timebase from "Beats" to "Time" did not seem to have any effect here, - what should I see?
a) don't get the meaning of this one myself b)There are none as of yet. Seems to be hardcoded if I'm not entirely blind c) I had to chew on this, too... I asked Schwa and he made a light go on: put a time signature marker in the range of the midi item and you'll see a difference.
