to quote steindork: "No way" is not correct: and btw your tone isn't going to help this cause end quote. i already have a rediculous workaround, and its way simpler than that link. i just insert a freeG on the track with output set to a new virtual internal channel out, learn it, send it it a send slider on 0db listening on a new virtual internal channel to the freeG only. NOT easy to do in the fly. theres no way to assign a midi control to send sliders its a core function, and we are going to implement it right now! theres a post at the absolute bottom of the 'elevated' FR, locked, that is being ignored. enough! you dont like my tone? this issue has been ignored for far too long thats why im 'freely expressing' myself. it is frustrating! well i believe its being purposefully ignored, is that really true you developers? chime in, school me in my tone. if its just too hard to implement right now then id lose the tone, as it is i feel indignant because of a suspicion that its really being sabotaged. i never use a harsh tone normally. (though i do use caps instead of ITALICS which could be mistaken...).

what do you mean 'send receive support' you mean it controls reapers sends? IE if theres 24 channels with 6 sends, you can control them? one per knob?

ok, so if we're c programmers we're ok... thats not really support for normal users. so mabe i can hire someone to write a bcr2000 send support for me... once these are written, couldnt they be posted for other users with the same control surface as well? thats be a good thing to have available through the reaper site or forums...

dern it, dont you think i know my control surface isnt supported? if it was, dont they just fix a hardwired control to a knob? we all need to be able to assign each control to whatever knob we want even if the bcr, which you know, look at the list, isnt supported ive known that forever.

A quick search reveals this one: which I believe to be the port yhertogh talked about. Reads like a comprehensive implementation. Re the control surface configuration possibilities, there is this interesting project: I hope Geoff will come up with some news sooner than later. EDIT: I forgot to mention, that of course isn't meant to say sends (level/pan/mute) don't need a "learn" function. I want it for all track envelope parameters, like volume, pan and mute, in addition to the actions.

sure of course, since its going to take 7 years to get learn support... basically the features i was asking, type in the channel # to control, scroll wheel changing values 1 integer at a time, and/or bypass working, would make it usable (IE i assign params i need on the fly). also updating the send GUI would be nice, im thinking its a reaper issue now... -cheers
