holding the split key "s" and then moving the mouse from left to right over an item creates an insane amount of splits when "SNAP" IS OFF. I know I should only press the "s" key once but I am still getting use to the no tools thing and did this by accident to get this result, not a major bug just a niggle and wanted to check if it was just my machine or everyone? it seems like it is a feature so when you have snap to grid on you can hold "s" and quickly split on the grid points as you drag across the item but without snap the splits "let their hair down and have a field day on your audio!" lol

ok, this is the only variable that could be the difference as I have tried it on my general boot too (on the same computer) and can reproduce it. I have the command "split item under mouse cursor" assigned to "s", is that what you were trying with or are you using the play cursor version? even tried two keyboards and both did it and a mouse instead of a wacom pen pad. it happens after about a second of holding it down so if you hold it and then drag it splits like it should then a second later I get about 50 cuts in the item. If you cannot reproduce with the above key command then anyone have any ideas why my keyboard auto repeats
