Kontakt multiple output tracks or channels

I have native instruments kontakt 3 and in reaper it shows up as three vsti entries with 8, 16, and 32 outputs. Reaper offers to create additional tracks to fill out the 8 outputs, for instance. Now, I only want 2 tracks. I guess I could delete or ignore the extra tracks. I also note that if I just open a track and change it to the vsti, it just goes ahead with the stereo output going into that track. So, is there any way to set up a vsti for kontakt with only two tracks out--that is a single stereo? Or is this controlled by the kontakt install process?

Press Cancel when REAPER offers to build the MultiTrack routing for you. That way you'll end up with just a stereo pair, on a single track, that's the sum (total) output of the VSTi (Kontakt in this case).
