Am I going mental?

I just noticed that I cannot dual-edit the position of a split unless both items on each side of the split are selected. There is no fade/cross-fade being caused by the split, it just cannot be moved/stretched unless both items are selected. I'm about 95% sure I used to be able to do it with no items selected...........could there be some option I may have changed by accident? I've not been able to find any :( I was using the latest pre-release, but I just d/l the 3.63 standard release and the behaviour is the same. Have I lost my marbles?

It seems I have lost them.........there is an option.........i turned it on somehow.........it's off now and it works correctly........*whew*

Preferences->Editing Behavior->Allow dual trim only if both items are selected?
