I have a 45-minute wav file of a live performance that I want to split into multiple standalone files, while adding global EQ. Please could anyone who does this frequently give me some pointers? Thanks. I can see a number of ways but they all end up being quite involved.

global eq & render than use an audio editor to split and save different tracks

I don't see what's involved about it, maybe I'm missing something I think I would make a track template or a preset of the of the eq just in case I lose it or something, but all you have to do is split the media, resize how you like, select all the items (double click track panel) and apply the FX to them. This is non-destructive so your source file remains unharmed Then you you only have to "crop to active takes", as the new items will be already be selected as default. You might want to use the rename facility in the item properties, before and/or after splitting What's global EQ? Do you mean the same EQ on all splits, you only need one EQ on the one track
