getting -9128 error, running out of cpu power with 24 tracks, 6 of them playing and one dverb. CPU usage limit set to 85, hw buffer size set to 1024. dae has 70mb, pt has 110mb. powerbook g3 500mhz, 384 mb ram, internal disk os 9.22 Help anybodY??
Play with your hardware buffer--I find that 256 & 128 will Only work for me. Also, play with your DAE buffer... When you have PTLE up, go to the upper right of your Mac screen, in the Application Popup Menu, and select DAE, then in the file menu select "buffer" and go all the way to the highest setting for the most punch available...Your starts and stops will be a little slower... YOU Must ReLaunch PTLE for the New DAE buffer setting to work... You can also experiment with the combination of the Hardware and DAE buffer. You will find the optimum settings for your rig...
Also, assign a little more RAM to DAE than PT. For example, 70 to PT, and 110 to DAE or whatever. And try processing any RTAS plugs as AudioSuite instead, as they take much less processing power...Hope this helps...
