its a pity you are just a wee bitty far away mate, but DA autoparts in dumfries is open till 4pm, what size bolt is it?

what like a 10 mm head? how long? gie us a guesstimate,

I know Jock, if I remember it is about a 14/15 mm head, length about inch/ inch+ half. Not even sure how to gauge the pitch but it seems quite fine compared to a lot of others. Also the threaded section is about 1/4" diameter. Thanks for your time. Chris

suggest you find a friend or neighbour who is in either the rac or aa, and call them out, they are sure to be able to help you with a bolt, and put in on. good luck. paul
