I followed Doom9's guide on Maestro because I have a mulitple PGC movie (Harry Potter) and I wanted to keep the menus. SO I followed the Maestro guide but when I play the movie, the audio and video are out of sync. Why is this? Is there a fix for this? Thanks. BTW, I didn't burn the .lay file (Was I supposed to?) and I burned with Nero 5.5.8.0 (<-- the good one).

Is your tile set in sync when you use the navigation-simulator within Maestro ? If not, then we can assume that your source material (the elementary streams) is asynchronous. Maybe you'r source has been an *.mpg file, multiplexed with an audio or video delay ? By the way: Even DVDs burned with Nero 5.5.8.0 won't play properly at some standalones. Why don't you burn directly out of maestro ?

My source material are vobs ripped from the DVD, so they are in perfect sync. I am unable to use the navigator-simulator (it doesn't work) because I don't have a MAestro compatible software dvd player or a hardware card (although I have a Realmagic Hollywood Plus card in my system). I get a 'Decoder Connection not established' error. How do I get it so that the navigator-simulator works? Also, when I was in the menus, none of the selection arrows on the remote work either. I did follow Doom9's guide where he says "I basically checked everything but the Root Menu call and for the main menu I deactivated everything." This could be the reason for that problem. Although that wouldn't make much sense to deactivate the arrows on the remote so that they didn't work. You would be unable to make any selections (i.e. chapters). Please help. Thanks. I will try burning directly out of Maestro next, after I fix the above mentioned problems. BTW, I checked the vobs in WinDVD and DVD Station (<--- the software for my Hollywood + card) and they both are out of sync. The orginial AC3 track (demuxed with dvd2avi 1.76) shows a delay in ms, but I was told that when authoring, that delay doesn't matter.

@jeff_jordan Where can I get the RAVISENT Cinemaster 2000 engine? What is it, like drivers or something. You said, "If the *.VOBs in the compiled video_ts folder are already out of sync (while playing with WinDVD), then the elementary streams that you used for authoring are asynchronous too." How can this be if I used the vobs ripped from the original DVD and then used dvd2avi -> avisynth -> CCE to encode them?
