Hello, A few days ago I put up a post about "serious" mastering with PT. For some reason the original post about "serious" mastering with PT gave a couple of dudes high blood pressure. Let me repost under the heading "semi-serious" mastering. I ain't talking about mastering the next Sting record....I have a very trusted and talented mastering engineer for the bigger projects. I'm mainly talking about small indy records and projects that don't have a big budget if any for mastering... but I still want the end product to maitain the highest standard possible. How 'bout the Waves Mastering bundle into Bias Peak 4.1 (with Jam) for 2-trak edits, P-Q codes. etc. Any somewhat serious guys out there using this set up? Thanks.

if you have to master in pro tools try this - do as little as possible. then do the final bounce and any final adjustments in sonic. or some other mastering program. you will gain a lot in sound quality just by the fact of doing the bounce in sonic. i've had to master stuff in pro tools and it was like living in hell. since i already live in hell i didn't really enjoy the experience.
