No matter what I use as input source, a ton of echos appear. F.x. if I in the microphone say "hello", then the outcome is "hello-ello-ello-ello-ello....." If I playback a mp3 or wave file and record it, the outcome is the the same, tons of echos. When I start the program it says: "Your sound card's input and output clocks are not synchronous".

The "Input/Output" thing is an error message of the first release of PTFree. Download release2 under the cause of your echoes is that your soundcard has a latency, it comes while the card tries to convert to digital audio and then back from your soundcard analogue to your speakers, which comes back into your microphone into your soundcard..... Mute the track which you are recording and moitor your mic over the soundcard mixer.
