Hello. Is it possible to have 3 different midi tracks triggering 1 instance of EZ drummer or would I need to have 1 EZ drummer per track...I like to have groove midi loops on one track, fills on another and so on? Thanks in advance for any help. Jannder.

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. I haven't used EZDrummer for very long but so far what I do is split tracks (kick on one track, snare on another, etc.). I do that after I've recorded the original, meaning I cut and past to different tracks. I've got four EZ Drummer tracks going on at the same time in one song as a result. I select EZ Drummer for each track in as a VSTi and they all work. This may have zero to do with your question but as best as I can tell it's in the ballpark.

Use folders Just put EZD on the parent folder and the midi items in the sub folders. This is what I do anyway.

It's fairly simple using sends or folders. For sends you need to set up MIDI sends from the tracks your MIDI is on to the track with EZDrummer. A more advanced method is using the automatic channel routing you get by right clicking and inserting an instrument on a new track. If you do that, then go into EZDrummer's internal mixer and right click on the Output setting of any channel and choose the multichannel preset, you will have all your different drums output on different channels. Then you just set up a send back to the main EZDrummer channel for MIDI only and you'll have both the MIDI and the audio for the relevant drum on the same channel.

Thanks very much for your helpful replies...I'll try experimenting with the folders tonight. I've just migrated from Sonar and I'm still trying to get to grips with the layout of Reaper...very impressed so far! Thanks again.
