Hello, I have searched for a few hours now, but really can't find a solution to this issue. I'm very new to Reaper and DAWs, but I'm generally good at picking up software. I downloaded the SWS Extension and put the reaper_sws.dll file into my Plugins folder. The problem is that if I boot up Reaper, there is no Extension menu. That's my issue. I have tried both the 64bit and 32bit Windows versions and rebooted my computer many times and I hid the .ini files in the Reaper folder (which was a solution from an old thread), but I still have no luck. I have the newest versions of both Reaper and SWS. Any idea what is wrong? Please let me know!

They will be located in the Actions list. Do a search in the Actions list for SWS.

I am running Windows 7 on a quad core. I downloaded both the 64bit and 32bit exe files from the SWS site and extracted the .dll into my Plugins folder (not the Plugins folder that the .exe suggests). If I check that folder, reaper_sws.dll is indeed in there, but with or without a reboot, it seems to have no effect on/in Reaper. I'd really like to get it going, because I've heard it adds a bunch of functionality to Reaper. I went into the Actions List and typed 'sws', and there are no returns from the search. Sorry to be a bother, but I'd really like to get it working... Everything went (reasonably) smooth up until now. Is there something that might be conflicting with it? Should I try making a dummy plugins folder somewhere else, put just the .dll in there, set it as my plugins folder in Reaper, and see what happens? I imagine I'd get the same result. EDIT: I went ahead and did that, and indeed, no change.

The plugins must go into the folder (Program Files/REAPER/Plugins/) where there are also dlls called reaper_wave.dll, reaper_midi.dll etc, you can't have a self chosen path for them. (ie, they are not like VST plugins for which you can choose custom paths where they will be located)
