Hi all I recently fitted new front ate disks, pads, and new spring set to my 1996 850 T5, Problem is the brakes are squeeling so i put copper grease behind the pads where it comes into contact with calaper etc, still no joy. Has anyone got any suggestions or know of a way i can stop this happening. Thanks for replies Leigh
I would hazard a guess as to how the shims came to be non-existant. A previous person changed the pads and forgot to put the shims back, somewhere back down the line. Mine originally had pieces of plastic material on the backs of the pads but now just have copperease on the contact areas with no problems. All the best, Peter.
