Anybody else experience this? While working in a session I will start out with SPDIF Mirroring enabled and SPDIF format (not ADAT) selected but somewhere in the course of a session it will switch to ADAT and no SPDIF mirroring by itself which necessitates me having to go into the Playback Engine settings and change everything back to the way it was. Is it just me or what? Frank S.

Its probably a bug, like the one that happens when you group faders for mixing and save the session with all groups disabled, when you reopen that session back up,then groups are enabled and you have to disable them every time for the rest of the days you keep reopening that session.

I get it also, drives me nuts! Usually changes when I change from one session to another, even when I keep PT open. I always have to check the box when I first open PT. I use the S/PDIF out to monitor (through my 01v) so when it goes off I notice it right away.

It doesn't really matter to me since I don't use S/PDIF output for anything. But I do play around with these settings. If I want S/PDIF Mirroring disabled I have to disable it every single time that I start PTLE! The setting won't stick! I haven't noticed if the setting gets lost when changing sessions, but it definitely gets lost each time PTLE is shut down. Mike

I wonder if Digi Support has any idea about this? Digi - Please chime in if possible. Frank Silano

Although not to deny your claims, I have never witnessed this behavior. Who is clock master in your setup, Pro Tools or the 01V? Brent
