Hi, has anyone had any problems using TLL's free fauxlder plug-in??? When I arrange the different plugs into the different directories I find that some go missing. Specifically: Click & Trim but maybe some others too. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Neil Can you post your config? What version of Mac OS and Pro Tools are you running? Are you seeing problems with RTAS, TDM or Audiosuite plugins? I just checked our Pro Tools 6.1 test system and Click and Trim definitely appear in the TDM and RTAS plug-in menu when TL Fauxlder is installed on this system. We have seen issues with some non-Digi plug's as noted in the FAQ at Thanks, Todd Trillium Lane Labs

Not sure if this applies to Mac OS X but on 8.x and 9.x you could try to trash your "DAE Preferences" folder in System Folder>Preferences. I could be wrong but I think they recommend doing that if you move plugins around.

Hi Todd, here is my config:- 0S 10.2.6 PTLE 6.1 Digi 001 here is how i arranged the plug-ins: After installing fauxlder i put all the plugs into the appropriate folder. However some don;t show up. Click is definetly present in the utilities folder but does not appear in the rtas list. Also fauxlder appears to have no affect on my Audiosuite list (is it supposed to?). Could the unusual behaviour hae something to do with me deleting some of the fauxlder folders (if you see what i mean). i.e. I deleted the 'waves' folder as we don't use waves plug-ins on our LE systems. Thanks for your help on this, Neil.

I had also some problems although I never had plugs not showing up I had plugs showing in an another sub-folder than the one I choose and doing it again didn't solve the problem. OS 9.2.2 PT 5.1.1.

Neil I'll see if I can duplicate your config here to find out what the problem is. It may be LE related, but it seems odd because I don't recall us ever seeing a problem with Digirack plug-ins before. TL Fauxlder itself is extremely simple and installing it simply creates the subfolders and copies of the TL Fauxlder plug-in itself. Unfortunately some plug-ins assume they will always be directly in the main plug-in folder, and that is no longer true when you install TL Fauxlder and rearrange plug-ins. That has been the main cause of reported issues to date, and this is what causes the issues LFO described. As noted in the documentation, TL Fauxlder works on the TDM and RTAS menu only. The method we use doesn't work on the Audiosuite menu because it operates differently. Thanks, Todd Trillium Lane Labs

I also had this problem. But i fixed it with checking the privilges on each plug that wasnt showing up. after i set them to read/write and (Me) they showed up again. also some plug wont work on certain configurations. I.E. Signal genarator Wont Show Up On a Stereo Channel, and on TDM Reason Only Shows up on RTAS Audio Channels.

Hi Todd, thanks for your help. I have got most everything working here. Click & Trim all present & correct. I had to check the permissions on the plugs & change them. Still having trouble with the Plugsound Free.dat file. If you had nay ideas about that I would be really glad to hear them. Now that I've got it working I think Fauxlder is a great plug! Thanks again,

Neil We are going to add a section on permissions to the Fauxlder FAQ. I tried the 'Plugsound Free' installer on OS X. It took me several attempts until I realized the installer has a bug. If you do a custom install of RTAS, it doesn't appear to install the RTAS plugin, just the data file. The 'Easy Install' option works OK however. The Plugsound Free.dat sample file appears in /Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks/Plugsound Folder. The installer also puts the 'Plugsound Free RTAS OSX' plugin into the plugin folder, along with an alias file named 'Plugsound Free.dat' which points to the real file. As long as both the 'Plugsound Free RTAS OSX' RTAS plugin and the 'Plugsound Free.dat' alias file appear in the same subfolder, it appears to work OK on the system here with TL Fauxlder. Hi Todd, thanks again for another prompt reply. I have gotten Plugsound Free working with Fauxlder flawlessly, seems like the problem was the bug in the Plugsound Installer. cheers!, Neil.
