R5 - unable to assign F14-F19 Keys to actions (Mac OS X)

Hi does anyone know why one can't assign the F14-F19 Keys to actions. I would like to keep consistency throughout studio one/Logic and Reaper. Whenever I assign the mentioned keys I get this symbol

Very good question; I am struggling with this issue too. Would be great to be able to assign keycommands to those F keys. Hopefully fixed in final V5 ..

works fine here. Yosemite 10.10.5 R5pre2/64. Have you tried to enable Use all F1, F2, etc as standard function keys..? in Keyboard prefs.

This ↑↑↑↑ Very same problem for me: OSX 10.10.5 Reaper 5.05pre2, - 64bit. Longstanding issue, i wonder why oh why oh why these function keys just don't work. There must be some kind of solution to this..i assume. Would be great if i could use them to extend all my shortcuts in Reaper.

Potentially have a fix for this in the next prerelease build!

For me 2 , Hooray, so happy !! - OSX 10.10.5 - Reaper 5.05pre3 - 64bit Justin and Crew are real Gods ! EDIT: I suppose i hoorayed to soon ... : For me, i can assign for example F18 and F19 to actions int he actions list. But when i close the action list and hit F18 or F19, i just hear a beep and the corresponding action is not executed .. This problem doesn't occur for all actions
