Scenario: I would like to control a parameter on plug b/track2 with CC messages from plug a/track1. Specifically, I would like to take output from Quartz (Artificial Audio) and have it control a parameter on let's say JS: Filters/bandpass. To do this I would need to use the learn function in the FX Chain/Parameter dialog. However, the Midi/Osc learn dialog states that I have to have a midi port setup to receive such messages. Is there a way to accomplish my task of setting up this type of control from track to track? **Please note, I do not have any issues assigning CC's from my hardware midi controllers. I do not have an issue routing the CC messages from Quartz to a vst's/vsti's that have their own built-in midi learn function. My issue is strictly with the Cockos or JS effects and finding a workaround to assign the CC's. **fyi-I'm on OSX (not that it should matter) but I am already aware that routing the midi out of Reaper thru the IAC buss and back in to Reaper might accomplish this task. I'd like to avoid that if possible. Thus I am wondering if there is something I have overlooked. Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

Perhaps use parameter linking (in Parameter Modulation), combined with ReaControlMIDI or some JS thingie to hook those CC#s to a parameter. (NB: haven't tried myself, posting from phone.)

ReaControlMidi & Parameter modulation did the trick. Thanks!

Jeffos' MIDItoReaControlPath plugin is doing the trick much more comfortable. Mac version is restricted to Intel Mac, though. Check this thread: .
