Ok, I ripped a vob file from DVD Decypter. Its just the audio vob in 5.1. I was wondering how do u change it into ac3 and how do you rip the ac3 files into mp3 or wav files like each channel in mp3 or wav?
I'm playing the vob on PowerDVD and I hit right click show information and this is the info : Video : MPEG-2 0.00Mbps Audio : Dolby Digital 5.1 448kbps
DGIndex will also separate the audio - I believe it can be found by itself here. Just load the .vob file, click Audio > Output Method > Demux all tracks, then click File and Save Project, name it and click Save. When it's done just keep the largest audio file.
Hi- Ok, I ripped a vob file from DVD Decypter. Its just the audio vob in 5.1. How did you get that? Did you use Stream Processing to get what you thought would be just the AC3 audio? If so, you did it wrong. You can go back, don't use Stream Processing, and decrypt the vob (audio, video, and subs), and then use DGIndex as described earlier to get the AC3 out of it. Or you can actually get the AC3 from DVD Decrypter directly, but doing it slightly differently than you did the first time. Go into Stream Processing, Enable Stream Processing (check the box), uncheck all the boxes but the one for the audio stream you want, HIGHLIGHT that audio stream (make it black or whatever that color is), tick "Demux", and then rip away. After you have the AC3, you can use BeSweet or HeadAC3he to convert it to MP3 (or WAV) at just about whatever quality you want. If you go the DGIndex route, it has a feature to "Decode to WAV", which will convert the AC3 to WAV for you.
