I don't use the mixer that much but I noticed this morning that when I add an effect and then drag it from one slot to another it gets copied now - I was sure it should just be moved that way - did it change at some point and if so why? I don't want to copy it and dragging it to move seems to make the most sense.

I must have misremembered but it seems more intuitive to have drag for move and save the alt for copy.

I'd vote for drag = move and CTRL-drag = copy, as that would be consistent with other places in Reaper and all around the OS and programs where you can copy stuff with CTRL-drag.

-1, no: I copy all the time while I never felt the need to move a plugin. While it might be inconsistent, it is by all means more practical this way. Greetings, D.
