RATS!!!! I screwed up and need some help....

RATS!!!! I screwed up and need some help.... 

okay....I believe I know what I need to do, but I want it verified before I totally ruin my recordings. Here's what I did....I've brought up a song....(actually two songs), but....Then I changed the name of the song to "Testing Song" and created a new folder for it....yes, the little box was checked that said to move all media files to this folder. The reason I changed the name and file was to test some plugins, but that's beside the point. I thought I would have two seperate songs with all of the files. Clairification #1. Next time I need to check the box that says "Copy all files" right? So, I bring up the original song...and of course 964 files are missing. So, they are obviously in my test song. But, this is where that second song comes in....Once I brought it up wrong and saved this other song to that file the same way, so naturally there must be two songs worth of files crambed into my new "TESTING SONG"! Fortuneatly for me, I just backed up my material on another hard drive. So, what I plan on doing is deleting the two song files from my computer, uploading the backup....and WALAAAAH....I should be right back to square one again. Correct? Is this right or wrong, and if it's right, is there anything else I need to look out for when I do this again?

well......talk about breathing a sigh of relief......OOOOH MY GAAAAWD......the thought of ruining a tune I worked so hard on.....Sheeeeesh....anyway.....I'm just glad I had a back up. Whew!!!!! and...it works just like it's suppose to.
