@dchirca, I have similar problems as you have. My DivX is also accelerated (whatever filter I use) when using the digital out of my soundcard. I guess that is what your are using too, or are you using the analog outputs of your soundcard?

For me, the moonlight odio decoda works without any problems, with all possible channel configurations for all files. CPU load doesn't seem to be any higher or lower than with any other decoder. The odio decoda is the only decoder that is working for me, with all others I only get Dolby Surround Downmix. Have you enabled WaveOut for Directshow? It doesn't use more CPU than DirectSoundOut and solves a lot of problems (other media players like Winamp and PowerDVD use WaveOut by default, guess why :))

Intervideo 6 channel mode not decode AC3 properly on my Audigy with the latest WDM driver dated 26-Aug-2002. The center sound somehow is seperated to the left and right channel. PS. WinDVD can play the DVD with AC3 sound properly. I think the Intervideo _hacks_ the DS filter if use outside the WinDVD :( Moonlight 6 channel mode decode AC3 properly even sometime in the random time the video is played faster and then normal again. The mlcom.ax is dated 03-June-2002.

Thank you all for your comments... It seems that are also other people around who are experiencing some problems... It seems also that these problems are mainly related to the quality of the DirectX filters... Anyway, nobody seems to know a third solution, different from Intervideo and Moonlight... It is somehow sad that we are tied to use one of these two codecs... And I'm thinking of the many solutions we have for:\ - encoding/decoding video - encoding/decoding MP3 sound - enhancing the quality of the output (TFM, etc.) ...not mentioning the availability of the source code...
