How did you burn the files ? UDF gives sometimes problems, ISO Mode is more compatible. Also what program did you use for joining the files ? There should not be a problem with files <2GB.

cheers, ISO mode worked a treat. On reflection it makes sense too...doh...hence why real dvds vob files are split in 1gb chunks because of the so called problem of reading above that. Thanks ever so much, owe you one now. I'm still in 2 minds whether I should look at upgrading it to the twice as expensive Kiss player, thinking that seems to be much more powerful, (this player uses the Medion GE chipset so it seems from what I've read) so can be some potential playback problems.... My main problem was with the fact that all long films would stop playing so far through, but now thats sorted...I still have the occasional problem of an avi going out of sync once in a while seemingly with VBR audio for a few seconds, where a quick rewind fixes that - however, thats a minor niggle, hopefully fixed in future...does that problem exist in the Kiss player? cheers again Tuck

KISS Players also seem to have problems with VBR Audio, you can find much information about KISS Players in this forum: But of course nobody can tell if your files would play without problems, maybe they do. Also the Mediatek GE Chip that the DK 339 uses is more powerful when it comes to DivX3 and QPEL than the Sigma chip that KISS uses. If you have many DivX3 files or files that uses QPEL these players wont be an option.
