Unable to see downloaded VST plugins

Hello. I downloaded several plugins (GTG Drum synth, TSL BassLine), placed them in Plugins folder under Program files-Reaper(x64), but when I try to insert some of those downloaded plugins, I simply cannot find them under VSTi. I didn't create this Plugins folder - it was created automatically when Reaper was installed, so I am wondering if I should create some separate folder and put all downloaded VST plugins there? And I setup path to plugins folder on Options-Preferences as C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\Plugins, but it didn't help. Any ideas what is wrong here? Thanks.

kiedis, That folder should not be used for your VSTs, it is meant for Reaplugs (Reaper's VSTs). What I do... is create separate folders for my 64-bit and 32-bit plugs ins. For example: "C:\VSTs_x64 and C:\VSTs_x86". Then I install all my VSTs there. This is also very convenient if you use more than one host. Then in Reaper preferences put in the proper path. If you are using both 64 and 32 bit plugins, place the 32-bit plugs in the path first. Click 'scan'. Enjoy. :cool: Edit: I really need to learn to type faster! :D
