Hey Guys! Im running a digi 002r with my dell 9300 and I get some good results, but I cannot record many tracks at once, and when mixing with alot of plugins and tracks I sometimes get the buffer error. I have been comtemplating getting a MAc book Pro with 2 gigs just for recording purposes and keep the dell for my home/work use. Is a mac like everyone says it is? Just plugin and play? Or do they run into the same problems that some sometimes do on PCs? Just doing some research before I make a plunge. Thanks for any info! Kyle

I have an older titanium powerbook g4, with 1gb of ram. I can record 16 tracks at a time, and mix more all while running waves, at's verbs etc, no problems... I also have a dual g5, again, no problems, easy to set-up etc... You have to do a little optimizing here and there, but fromwhat i've heard, still not near as bad as a pc.... good luck

Hi Kyle, With a Mac you won't have to worry about motherboard versions, chipsets, or any other such nonsense to be fully compatible. The integration of hardware and Operating System on a Mac is priceless. Read the boards, check compatibility. Go for it... Remember, PTLE's track/plugin count is based on processor speed, Windows or Mac, it's the goal if you want more. RAM is important for virtual synths, etc. If you get the Mac, by the time you get through the inital setup you should be a convert!! It's a whole different feel. I don't think you'll look back... MR
