Lower Audio Bitrates?

Hi All, I've used Doom9's guide for Gnot with DivX 5 and am very impressed with the results I've gotten over using FlaskMpeg. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to alter settings for the audio when going to encode. I'm wanting to fit all my movies to a single 90 minute CD each, and to increase space for video for the longer movies I am wanting to lower the audio bitrate of the MP3 file to 64kbps or lower in mono channel. I've tried setting the audio to 64kbps, and when the encoding is complete there is no sound at all. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

For exact control over the audio file, I'd suggest you use BeSweet to manually encode the audio file. Encode the movie with Gknot (without audio) and mux the files manually (with Nandub) after everything is encoded. BeSweet seems a little complicating at first, but you can do a lot of nice things to make it exactly like you want.

Or encode the audio seperately using BeSweet before encoding and then adding it in GKnot to take advantage of GKnot's bitrate calculator.

Finally got it to work. I was able to get the soundtrack for Saving Private Ryan down to 17MB @ 48kbps 32KHz, which is good enough for watching the movie on a laptop as I'll be doing.
