Hell yes! I just bought this thing yesterday and I'm already in love! This thing just might be my favourite track compressor that I've ever used. I don't know what it is but all the controls just plain work and it is easy to dial in a sound with your ears. I know this was originally made with parallel compression in mind but this works really well as bread and butter track comp. Paired with Stillwell's Rocket I think my cheap compressor search is finally over (at least for awhile :) ). Bootsie's stuff is ok too but they are more like autocomps, if you know what I mean. And I do like this comp's sound more. There is just something musical in a way attack and release works both fast and slow. And latest version has GR metering too which is always nice even though I'll have to say that the needle pointer could be little slower. But it gets you in a ballpark and that is enough, it is just guiding the ears, not commanding them. I've used it with drums, bass, vox and acoustic guitar and performed very well with all of these. I'm not after smashing (I've no doubt that this would handle that too) but dynamic and transient sculpting control, you know to get a uniform sound, classic workhorse compression. With this I can finally mold sound and sounds stays good. Kind of like what they say about some classic outboard hardware :) This is the best 15 $ I've ever spent!
