I just upgraded my RAM from 512 to 1GB. It worked fine last weekend. Been working all week. Last night I tried to open and play any of the previous projects I had recorded. Now, I can't even play a project with two tracks without extreme stuttering and clicks/pops. The only setting I changed was of preferences/buffering "anticipative FX..." I changed that back and still the same thing. Anyone have an idea I can check? This stuff is getting old...

If I click on ASIO configuration in Reaper/Preferences/Audio/Device, that button does nothing. Under BUffering, the media buffer size is 1200ms (default). Are you referring to this setting?
I rebooted, that solved the no sound issue. But, the ignore ASIO setting makes Reaper play immediately, no hesitation, but the playback is very choppy. So choppy I couldn't tell from it running before. If I uncheck this, it won't playback. It just sits there flashing forever on this project ( a bigger project with 30 tracks that worked fine before )...
Eureka!! I checked Presonus website and they have a new driver online for download. I guess they developed a new driver for the Tube, and this driver works for the FSProject (what I have) which has admittedly been a shitty driver. I just unistalled the one I had 3.1.1 and rebooted. Installed 3.3.1, rebooted. Plugged in the cable, ran the windows initialization and viola, I am getting smooth playback on 30 tracks with 11 FX loaded. Nice! Finally! My goodness I hope this lasts more than a week LOL!

Nice, the buffer control on my Firestudio Firecontrol works now, too. ASIO configuration button in Reaper still doesn't do anything...
