I have 2 monitors side by side on my pc running 002. It supports dual display and extended desktop..(ie drag mouse on left monitor it "crosses" over to the right monitor) I started up PTLE and opened a session but when i try to drag the mixer (or any) PT window over the the right monitor it wont cross....the mouse will come over but no PT window....hmmmm..I Give ...waz up wit dat?
For those that haven't figured this out yet, the best way to run 2 monitors is by starting PT and not maximizing it. Using the mouse, drag the edges of the main PT window out to the edges of your screens. Then you can drag/resize the mix and edit windows as needed. Once you do this and save/close, it should always open accross both screens.
Pro Tools 7.0 will fully support Dual and Triple screen setups with ease. You can view a picture of a triple screen setup on the Digidesgin website here: One screen features the edit window, the secound the mixer window, and a 3rd all the plugins. Cheers
Forgive me if I'm missing something here........ But what's different about PT7 and any other previous version of PT in this respect? If you have the video cards and displays to do it, why couldn't you run 3 dispays before? Or what does it do now that it wouldn't have done then?
