I've had no problems with the audio side of LE but I've been using the MIDI side a lot over the past few days and have had a few problems. 1) After importing a midi file into an existing session, the system crashed when pressing "play". (Sorry, I haven't tried to see if this is reproducable each time but it occurred twice doing the same thing). 2) Importing a midi file into a session where there were other midi tracks caused the imported midi data to be included into all existing midi tracks. (Again, I haven't tried to reproduce this but it was pain as all other midi tracks were lost). Any thoughts, confirmations etc? Thanks, Mike [This message has been edited by MikeC (edited April 06, 2000).]

Hi there........ Have you checked to see whether there are any predefined patches allocated to that track. You should also check to see that there is no sysex data on the track. If you are using a midi controller make sure the local switch is off before you start a session. check your OMS studio setup and make sure your midi instruments/cableing matches the actual configuration of your midi devices. Good luck! Neil

I've had some crashes importing midi files myself. I haven't done it for a while tho, so I don't know if the problem still exists. It does seem to happen right after you hit the enter key. TechSupt was unable to duplicate this, however. Mine's a G4/AGP OS9, 256MB. What is your system? ------------------ LW

I have a G4/AGP, OS9, 192M ram, a MOTU micro express USB midi interface... and that's it. So nothing too complicated there. I'll do a more thorough test on Monday and post the results. Cheers, Mike
