no im asking you if you have gotten sand inside your vagina as you seem overly aggresive for a sunday morning. its a discussion on plugin prices and quality. im sure it will have no bearing on your outlook for the day. dont sweat it too much.
NAS,I think your reply was a little unpolite if I may say so. Maybe it wasn't meant that way but I don't feel rythmtech's post waranted your reply :) MC
1 Yes it did warrant that reply because he was either talking rubbish or is confused 2 He then showed his true colors by using filthy comments I guess that is the kind of place this is nowadays is it ? People speaking rubbish and when confronted allowed to throw filth around Perhaps it is time to move on for me then ;) No worries NAS

NAS, you seem to have a gift for getting into arguments. This is a perfectly nice thread, so lets not spoil it by being cranky. We're all friends here, right?
someones going to post the page about how all digital eqs can null... yes it's overly expensive, of course it is. :) But then,- some people eat caviar and call it a delicacy.... ;) Kind regards Dave Rich
first person to show me the stock reaper eq nulling with the abbey road brilliance pack on a high end boost of 6dB gets a pat on the back! .. im in for a LONG wait ;-P
but with any digital eq, once you take away any saturation involved and then study the curves and get them exactly right then yes, theres a possability of them nulling. same as compressors. if you code two compressors with the same attack/release curves, same input etc then yes, they probably will null given the input is exactly the same... but thats hardly the point. i dont have all day to sit around studying eq or compressor curves etc so ill really on the good plugins to do that for me :-)
Exactly, also in the article he's using phase to show 'null' surely it's residual noise floor i.e the difference, not phase you should be looking at? if something Null's compeletly then there's nothing left, they cancell each other out. MC

Just download the demo and see if it gives you $1k worth of fantastic sound. Not saying it won't for some, but I don't expect it would or me, but who knows. I did toss some grossly overpriced waves plugs away a couple years ago and have yet to miss them in any way. :-) I felt differently with hardware back in the day because the premium prices for high quality materials & components was involved but that's no longer the case with code other than time to do the coding. I do agree with NAS in a way where as soon as you move into the magic and unknowns of the audio world, software suddenly becomes suspiciously expensive. Karbo
to be honest im not sure exactly on his methods either.. but im also very in awe of his expertise so ill not call that one. but in my own experience (like yours) nulling is to do with whether theres a differance or not after phase cancelation. given same settings and source material, if there is no differance then they null.. if there is, they dont. also, check out his free briscati true stereo impulses and the quantec room impulses.. gorgeous!
